In the place of spiritual maturity and a final judgment, the modern Westerner has substituted what sociologist Christopher Laschhas called the “Myth of Progress.” What once drove Christians to look forward to final justice and impelled them to holy living has dissipated today into a feeble idea that somehow, through…better methods, better techniques, better therapy, better self-development, better science, and better technology,… …the world is actually getting better. It’s time to cry out to God in prayer with intensity for revival with a sound mind, a right mind and a humble heart.
