I grew up in Great Falls, Montana. After watching a Billy Graham Crusade, at the age of 13, I knelt by my bed alone and asked Jesus to come into my heart. I struggled through my teen years with anger and rebellion. At 19, I wanted Jesus more than anything and was willing to “sell out” to know God better. It was then, after much study, that I received the baptism with the Holy Spirit and began to live in the power of God for my life. My behavior changed radically. I was totally immersed in water baptism in obedience to Jesus. Both baptisms became a focal point and turning point in my life. When I was 22, I met my husband, Jim, at church and we have been married since 1981. We were self-employed for 29 years and owned a home-building business, gutter business and vacation home. We have three daughters, three amazing son-in-law’s and currently have five grandchildren and one on the way! Because of God’s grace, all of our daughters were home-schooled or attended Christian school.
Currently, Jim and I both work full time – Jim is a superintendent with Scull Construction Services and I am an Administrative Assistant at OBC. We both volunteer in various roles at OBC. Our church family is of vital importance to us and we believe, as Disciples of Christ, that we are called to fulfill our role in His church and to be loyal, serve and forgive. I’ve loved my role in the OBC office for the last six years and see every opportunity as a chance to serve Jesus!
